I'm sure the Leafs forced Bolland back onto the ice at gunpoint. He was 'close' to coming back for over a month before he actually got back into any games. The only reason he got back out there was to have some some leverage in contract negotiations.
Way too big a risk for what he thinks he should get paid. Hopefully the Leafs let Bolland find somewhere to go in free agency. Just chalk it up to a bad trade and move on. |

I think you put your finger on the craziness of LA being interested in Bolland. They are likely going to have to buy out or trade Richards to sign Gaborek. They have Toffoli waiting in the wings ready to play a regular center shift. Where does Bolland fit? He wants money similar to Richards.

It it appears as though Bolland may have priced himself a bit high. Someone might pay him the dough, but I think he is a prime candidate for an incentive based contract based on games played. |
